Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives us the energy to start our day strong and overcome whatever obstacles may come during it. Making breakfast should never be difficult. An omelet is the mainstay of many breakfast meals. You can use a variety of ingredients that contain a lot of nutrients, including proteins, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, to prepare it, and the result is always delicious, healthy, and filling. The only problem is that it can take a long time. But there is a quick and easy way to make eggs, called “omelet in a bag”. That’s because it’s cooked in a plastic bag.
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of sliced ham
- 1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon of sliced onions
- 1 tablespoon of thick salsa
- 2 sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon of green pepper
- 2 tablespoons of sliced fresh tomato
Feel free to add or remove ingredients, it’s your house. Make whatever omelet you think you’ll like! First, break two eggs into a large zip bag for later freezing.
Be sure to squeeze out as much air as you can before zipping the bag. Then whisk the eggs by shaking the bag.
Add the rest of the ingredients into the bag.
Shake the bag to mix the ingredients, then squeeze the air out to zip the bag again.
Bring water to a rolling boil in a large pan, then submerge the bag in the water. You can cook multiple servings using this method. Cook for exactly 13 minutes.
