DIY Shoes for the Navy Style

I have many Navy – outfits, but not enough shoes to pair with them (I think at least). Somehow, for almost every maritime outfit I wear these wedges. Do not ask me why it is itself a mystery to me! Anyway, I need a pretty new “Navy-shoes”. Urgently!

Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need

  1. Shoes
  2. Satin ribbons in different colors and widths
  3. Two small belt buckles (or two pretty navy buttons)
  4. Scissors
  5. Glue Gun

DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions

DIY Step 1

Put on the shoes to fix the approximate size of the bows, which will be added to the shoes. Then cut the three bands to the desired length. The longest band should get at least 2-4 cm longer than the middle one and this again 2cm longer than the smallest (third) band. Please add at least an extra centimeter to each length to get enough space to glue the strips.

DIY Step 2

Now glue the two ends of the band together to get this band in the form of a circle.

DIY Step 3

Bring the small satin ribbon to a bow in the form of an eight and by using the glue gun, glue it together with the middle satin ribbon.

DIY Step 4

Now glue the two bands on the widest satin ribbon and press it slightly.

DIY Step 5

Pull the satin ribbons through the buckle, so the decorative buckle gets placed in the middle and make a pretty bow with the bands.

DIY Step 6

Put a lot of glue to the back of the bow.

DIY Step 7

Attach the bow to the desired location on the shoe and firmly press it together. DONE!

DIY Tutorial – Final Result “Shoes for the Navy Style”

I didn’t wear this jeans playsuit for ages anymore, but as we recently (for 2 or 3 days) had high summer, the time was ripe for it to be taken again.

New findings, which I got by wearing this playsuit again:

  • With shorts, you attract a lot of attention in the city. Even the long shirt as a “corrective” did not help.
  • No matter how short – denim fabrics in the sweltering heat are simply impractical.

Jeans Playsuit: Asos • Shirt: Esprit • Jewelry: Flea Market (navy anchor chain), self-made (bracelet) and Tally Weijl (necklace ) • Wedges: Dexim (pimped by me) • Bag: ? maybe Bipa
