This DIY guide is a „quasi-remittance work“. Nati asked me recently via e-mail if I know where she can get a low priced top like this from Wildfox. When I saw the sweater for $ 111 (!), it was immediately clear the search for a similar but cheaper sweater would take longer than to make it by myself. A really easy and above all, cheap DIY project that does not cost more than the fabric color.
Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need
- Sweater or T-Shirt
- Fabric dye (black)
- Set of brushes (different sizes)
- A small vessel for the fabric dye
- Cardboard or old newspaper to protect the back of the sweater from painting.
DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions
DIY Step 1
Put some fabric dye into the small vessel.
DIY Step 2
Put the cardboard into the sweater and start painting the „Leopard Print“ with different brushes. Then proceed following the instructions of the fabric dye. DONE!
Tip: To prevent the sweater from slippage, I have fixed it on the cardboard with hair clips.
You can use a fabric marker for drawing the pattern as well. However, with the fabric dye, it is much easier to get these nice shades by dabbing with the brush.

I still think about painting two little pink paws on the sweater. Only I have to decide, where I could place them.
