The tenth DIY Advent door hides an approximately ten-year-old top (how fitting!) which I spiced up with a sequined loop. For my Top, I took a 1.50 m long and 6 cm wide sequin scarf that was indeed beautiful, but rather scratched me on the neck, so I did not wear it any longer.
Before we start with the instructions, I would say that most of the sequined fabrics are very thin and they should at least be folded double. It looks much better when the loop is shimmering brightly.
Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need
- A top
- Sequin fabric (1.50 m in length, breadth of flavor. In my case it is 6 cm.)
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing kit or sewing machine
DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions
DIY Step 1
Smooth out the top on the work surface and place the sequins loop on it temporarily.
DIY Step 2
If you have found the right place for the loop, then fix both sequins parts with pins until the cutting edges above the intersection.
DIY Step 3
Cut above the sequins crossover.
DIY Step 4
Now put the upper part of the loop above the fabric crossover and fix it with pins.
DIY Step 5
From the remaining fabric tinker a “node” and stuck it on the upper part of the loop.
DIY Step 6
Sewing. DONE!
