I like the hats a lot. Especially when I have no desire and time to take care of my hair-styling. Happened to me quite often, but that’s another story.
One of the reasons why I wanted to spice up this hat was the “Combining” factor. With more colors, the hat not only looks better but can also be easily combined.
Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need
- Nice Fabrics (eg with flowers or paisley)
- Some Lace
- Textile Glue
DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions
DIY Step 1
Cut out the desired shapes from the fabric (in my case, the flowers and leaves) with scissors.
DIY Step 2
Cut the lace at the right length and width.
DIY Step 3
Stuck the lace at one end with pins. Start at the point, where the flowers will be positioned afterward. Therefore the ends of the lace will be hidden by the flowers.
DIY Step 4
Now fix the lace piece by piece with the fabric glue, press down firmly on the hat, and fix the glued points with pins. Don’t be afraid, if the glue looks white. Almost all textile glues become transparent after drying. I use the natural textile gluten HSE 24.
DIY Step 5
Now fix the flowers with glue on the desired locations.
DIY Step 6
Finally, fix all the blossoms with pins.
Here you see the finished “spiced up” hat. I let the pins still stuck 2 hours until the glue was dry.
