Recently Luci asked me how to recycle old curtains. Well, how about this? Inspired by D & G, with a lace insert in the shoulder area I breathed new life into an old plaid dress. For sure it will work with your old curtains as well;).
Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need
- Dress or blouse
- Lace fabric
- Pins
- Scissors
- Sewing kit (sewing machine)
DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions
DIY Step 1
Lay the shoulder part of the dress flat on the table and smooth it out well, so you can take the exact measurements for the cutting.
DIY Step 2
Put the lace over it, fix it with pins, and cut the lace fabric with a little seam allowance.
DIY Step 3
Sew it.
DIY Step 4
Cut the lace close to the seam. DONE!
