Don’t settle for those dreary office style blinds in your home. They’re simply unacceptable in a home environment! What’s the alternative? Simple, neat, sophisticated and elegant Roman shades will be a great addition to any style of interior and absolutely any room, whether it is a living room, bedroom, dining room, children’s room or kitchen.
What you will need:
- old horizontal blinds
- a measuring tape
- a pencil
- a brush
- scissors
- thick upholstery fabric
- safety pins
- an iron
Let’s get going:
1. Measure the fabric for the curtains, not forgetting to allow an extra 5 cm on top and bottom and 2 cm on the sides.
2. Using scissors, cut the ropes and remove the horizontal slats so that you have a rod, 2 ropes and 6-7 slats.
3. Mark on the fabric of the place where there will be fastening for horizontal slats.
4. Glue the fabric to the straps.
