Say you went on a business trip, stayed overnight at your aunt’s village, or just forgot to bring your styling tools. Your hair is a mess and you need to look amazing in the morning! What do you do? Don’t panic! If you have a fabric belt somewhere in your clothes or on your hotel robe — you’re saved! The instructions are super simple!
Start by parting your hair down the middle and dividing it into two equal sections. Place the belt on top of your head and let the ends hang down on either side of your face.
We will start by curling one half of the hair. The other half, along with the tail of the robe belt, needs to be secured with an elastic band for now.
We take the top strand and twist it around the robe belt, pulling it away from us.
After the first twist, we add another strand and twist them together. Then we add a third strand and so on.
We continue to add strands until all the hair is wrapped around the robe belt.
Then we twist the resulting “braid” into a bun at the level of the temples, but a little closer to the back of the head – so that it is comfortable to sleep on the side. Repeat the process on the other side. It would be great if you had a pair of old nylon tights that you could wear on your head as a securing cap.
In the morning, we remove the cap, gently unravel the hair and separate the strands with our fingers.
To add volume, we lower our head, shake our hair vigorously, and throw it back. Voila! A beautiful cascade of spiral curls is ready!
