Fashion DIY Tutorial: Bolero, Stole and Loop Scarf at Once

Girls, I wish you could now grab into the screen just for stroking this pink fur. The fabric is so soft, that’s why I had to have him even without knowing what I could do with it.

At Prada, I discovered a pink faux fur stole, which I loved and would be easy to imitate. But then my hubby had a much better idea. So, from only one piece of fabric and two pushbuttons, I got a part, which provides at least four carrying options.

The only drawback: Unfortunately the fabric was just available in pink.

Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need

  1. Faux fur (my fabric is 28 in (70 cm) wide)
  2. Measuring tape, marking pen, tailor’s ruler
  3. Scissors
  4. Buttons for sewing
  5. Sewing kit

TIP: Keep a vacuum cleaner ready to vacuum up the remains immediately after cutting.

Fashion DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions

DIY Step 1

Measure your shoulder width and cut the coat to the desired dimensions. I used the entire width of the fabric, so my fabric got the size of 23 in x 28 in (58 cm x 70 cm).

DIY Step 2

Now sew on the buttons at all four corners.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the push-button-parts are sewn to the same on both sides so the buttons can be closed both lengthwise and crosswise. Therefore have a look at the following picture:
